This is the isolated and eerie Tevennec Lighthouse in France located at the western tip of Brittany. It has a special reputation among the lighthouses as the location of hauntings and has a strange mystery behind it.
According to legend, the island had a dark history even before it was built. The island was considered to be the home to Ankou, the Breton name for Death himself. The first lighthouse keeper was driven insane by ghostly voices. After that there were multiple instances of surprising deaths and incredibly eerie sounds heard by the keepers.
The secret behind this was not revealed for a long time. Under the rock there is a cave, the crevices of which are filled with water during a storm. The resonant vibrations of water and air result in these eerie sounds. And due to this unknown scientific reason, many keepers of the lighthouse lost their minds from fear of those sounds.
